Undisclosed Amount to Family of Man Who Was Killed by Ford Truck that had Faulty Parking Gear
A male in his 20’s was killed when his truck jumped out of park and unexpectedly went into reverse. Tremont Sheldon P.C. took on the Ford Motor Company whose 1991 Ford Pickup was manufactured with the same “false park” design that had caused so many deaths in the 1970’s. Through engineering experts, Tremont Sheldon P.C. showed that although the driver placed the shift in park, any vibration of the truck could cause the lever to jump into reverse, making the truck back up. Tremont Sheldon P.C. was able to obtain a judgment for the family of the young man who was killed in this tragedy and alert consumers nationwide of the fact that this dangerous design still exists and affects the motoring public.
