Our sixteen-year-old client was legally crossing Sherman Avenue in New Haven at its intersection with Chapel Street. He was almost across the intersection when he was hit by a car that was turning left from Chapel Street and broke his left leg in multiple areas.  The police officer blamed our client for the collision because he thought that the car had a green traffic signal. Attorney Frank Bailey was able to convince the insurance adjuster that its driver was substantially at fault as our client was almost across the intersection and because the driver was not aware that our client was in the crosswalk until she hit him and settled the case for the full insurance coverage limit of $300,000.
