$210,000 Awarded to Man Injured by Limousine
A 59-year-old man was injured in a motor vehicle accident caused by a limousine. Our client treated with a local orthopedic for whiplash-type injuries which caused persistent pain in his neck. He was released with a 5% disability of the neck. The pain affected his ability to work and to enjoy his favorite pastime which was fishing. The insurance company offered our client approximately $25,000 to settle the case before trial. That offer was increased to $45,000 just before the jury came back with its verdict. The jury’s total award, including interest, was in the amount of $210,000.
