Most Americans receive high-quality healthcare whenever it is needed. However, any of our readers who are familiar with previous posts here know that medical malpractice is all too common throughout the country, including in Connecticut. There are many different ways that patients can suffer injuries and illnesses as the result of medical malpractice.

Although most people know that doctor errors and surgical mistakes occur with a disturbing amount of frequency, many people don’t realize the danger presented by defective medical products. Healthcare technology is ever-evolving, mostly for the better. But, the unfortunate reality is that many different types of implants and replacements are later found to be defective in some way, oftentimes resulting in the need for immediate medical attention.

Prescription medication errors are also common. These types of errors can result due to a misdiagnosis, but it can also occur when a pharmacy provides the wrong amount or wrong dosage of a prescribed medication. When a patient takes the wrong type or amount of medication for their medical condition, it could make the condition worse or result in a new type of illness.

At our law firm, we recognize the many different ways that medical malpractice can occur and how it affects the lives of the victims. We do our best to work with our clients to attempt to ensure that they receive the financial compensation they need and deserve in order to recover.
