Currently there are seven plaintiffs who are seeking to consolidate their cases against Robert Martinez, a gym teacher at Rogers Elementary School in Stamford, Connecticut in 1970s and 1980s. All seven men are represented by Tremont Sheldon P.C.. All the plaintiffs claim to have been abused when they were in fourth, fifth or sixth grade at Rogers Elementary which at the time was on Lockwood Avenue. This case has several similarities to the priest cases that the firm handles, said attorney, a partner in the firm.”From the victims’ standpoint it’s very similar because it involves a person in a position of trust, who is put on a pedestal, respected, a role model to children,” Attorney said. “And then this happens.”
