A man who worked as a certified nursing assistant at Saint Vincent’s Medical Center has been charged with fourth-degree sexual assault for allegedly touching a patient inappropriately while he slept, police said. Gonzalo Flores, 53, of Bridgeport, was arrested on Tuesday and released on $25,000 bond, according to court records.
Police said the complaint was filed on June 10, when the victim told police that several days earlier he awoke to find a hospital employee inappropriately touching his genital area.The victim told his wife about the incident, but it was never reported to hospital staff, police said. Police began an investigation and interviewed both the victim and Flores, who was asked if he was willing to take a polygraph test after giving his version of events.According to police, Flores said “he would not do well” on a polygraph test.
