Many Connecticut residents will agree that public faith and trust in institutions such as a church are shaken and lost when accusations of child sexual abuse are made against priests. Such incidents are harrowing to read about, and likely scar not only the community where they occur but also individuals and families directly impacted by it. Sadly, cases of child sexual abuse can happen anywhere. But victims of sexual abuse can file a civil action against perpetrators to get justice.

Pedestrian killed in car crash in Vernon, CT

During the summer months, many Connecticut residents take walks to enjoy the weather. In a society where cars are an important form of transportation, pedestrians have to be very careful, particularly when crossing the streets. A collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian is likely to cause the pedestrian serious injuries. Car drivers, on the other hand, also should be attentive and cognizant of pedestrians, particularly in residential areas.

Patient sues doctor and hospital for negligence

When one least expects it, seeking medical attention and care may become necessary in some cases, such as when an individual falls and suffers a fracture or has another type of accident. Falls, accidents requiring medical care and other injuries can happen at any time, without notice to anyone. When such incidents occur, most people can rest assured that hospitals and doctors can tend to their needs. However, doctors are human and human beings can make errors.
