Police have charged an English teacher at Fairfield Ludlowe High School with sexual assault after they say he engaged in a long-running relationship with a student. Glenn Mishuck, 49, of Ellsworth Street in Bridgeport, is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday at Superior Court in Bridgeport. He was charged with 17 counts of second-degree sexual assault. Mischuck is no longer a teacher at the school. School officials said he resigned his position Oct. 7. He was placed on paid administrative leave Sept. 18, when school officials learned of the allegations against him, a school spokeswoman said. Mishuck, who was known to students as “Mish,” engaged in a sexual relationship with a student younger than 18 on at least 17 occasions, police said. Text messages between the student and Mishuck corroborated the incidents, police said. David Owens, Hartford Courant
