A pediatrician who lived and worked in Stonington, Connecticut pleaded guilty in federal court Monday to charges of receiving and distributing child pornography, authorities said.
FBI agents arrested Parrilla after searching his home and office in August. They found hundreds of found obscene images of boys on computer drives and on printed materials, according to information filed in court. During an interview with agents at the time of his arrest, Parrilla admitted he had been involved in trading pornographic images of children for five years. Parrilla was associated with Westone Pediatrics and lives on Pellegrino Road. Federal authorities linked Parrilla to the trafficking of child pornography in July 2011, when an undercover police officer in Kansas City, Mo. accessed a computer network of the sort used by pornography traders and discovered a cache of obscene images in a directory that Parrilla maintained. Parrilla was charged originally with possession, receipt, and distribution of child pornography. He is free on a $500,000 bond. As reported by EDMUND H. MAHONY The Hartford Courant
